Job Description
Summary
The Senior Accountant prepares, analyzes and reviews financial statements using accounting principles.
- Prepare of financial reports such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, cash flow statements and other documents that project the organization's financial position
- Support quarterly and annual internal and external audits.
- Analysis of intercompany accounts and understanding how the balance sheet, profit and loss statement and statement of cash flows are interconnected.
- Understand and prepare complex journal entries for multiple entities (payroll, benefits accruals, IBNR, etc.)
- Responsible for monthly closing procedures
- Researching complex accounting topics and knowledgeable of ASC topics
- Analyzing, reconciling, and owning of balance sheet accounts with the ability to support ending balances, including explanations of aging and write-offs.
- Lead / support initiatives projects for group as needed, including key projects within Oracle Cloud.
- Experience with global reporting and communication requirements.
Qualifications :
- B.S. Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- The Senior Accountant requires six (6) years of experience in accounting.
- Experience in public accounting a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with Oracle Cloud and / or SAP
- Requires strong tactical thinking and business problem solving skills
- Requires strong interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Requires strong analytical skills and the ability to assemble and quickly analyze data
- Requires excellent organization skills with accurate and precise attention to detail
