To support our continued growth, we are currently seeking an experience CDL A / B driver / boom truck operator to join us in North Brunswick, NJ.
We are seeking a driver who is responsible and can be a great team player. Driver will operate delivery vehicle to and from customer sites that require crane or boom to load and unload material.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
- Load / Unload materials from our warehouses to job site. Taking precautions to ensure product and customer property.
- Maintain truck
- Assist loaders and forklift operators during loading
- Ensure capacities and weights meet all standards, ensure load is no over weight limits and follows all guidelines as established by the Department of Transportation
- Secures load - ensures proper strapping of load before transportation
- Operates boom, ensuring all safety protocols are met
- Maintains records of any maintenance issues / operating issues of equipment
- Confirm and maintain log of deliveries. Check item manifest to ensure accuracy of orders delivered.
- Assists customers / fork lift operators in unload of truck
The ideal candidate must meet the following requirements :
- CDL experience with flat beds; operation / license of Boom cranes highly desirable
- Must have clean driving record; meets current DOT qualifications
- Must have flexible schedule for off-hour deliveries
- Physical demands : Ability to lift up to 100 lbs or more, bending, twisting, working in a variety of environmental conditions
Notes :
- This is a full-time position
- No overnight required
- Wage will be determined according to experience
- Candidates with glass experience is a big plus
- CDL and / or boom truck experience an absolute plus
