The Senior Communications Specialist plays a pivotal role in crafting and disseminating compelling content across various platforms to engage diverse audiences effectively.
With a strong focus on writing and content creation, the ideal candidate demonstrates proficiency in drafting press releases, announcements, newsletters, and social media posts that resonate with target audiences.
Job Requirements :
Strong writing and content creation skills are crucial, with the capability to produce clear, engaging content for a variety of platforms and audiences.
This includes experience in drafting press releases, announcements, newsletters, and social media posts.
- Supports outreach, training, and event planning activities on-site.
- Meets with government clients to plan and coordinate communication team efforts.
- Plans and organizes events.
- Provides logistical support.
- Creates promotional and educational materials.
- Provides updates to websites.
- The candidate should have the ability to assist in the development and execution of communication strategies, with the ability to understand and apply strategic messaging in governmental or similar settings.
- The ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to support projects, manage timelines effectively, and coordinate with different stakeholders to assist in the execution of communication plans.
Education :
Must possess bachelor’s degree.
Experience :
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
- Experience working in the Washington, DC area supporting environmental, energy, and sustainability programs with the Federal government context,
