As a Sr. Product Manager within Tinder’s Innovation Team (Tinder NEXT), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Tinder, especially for our Gen Z users.

You will develop innovative new ways to use Tinder and discover new matches. Leading innovation projects from concept development and prototyping to market launch, you will collaborate with design, research, marketing, and engineering teams to ensure each stage meets the highest standards of success.

Where you’ll work : This is a hybrid role and requires full-time in-office collaboration at least two times per week. This position is located in West Hollywood (preferred), Palo Alto, and / or San Francisco, California.

In this role, you will :

  • Develop New and Innovative Product Ideas : Think big and develop groundbreaking product concepts that address key problems for our Gen Z users based on latent user needs, and new technology / market / social trends, ensuring feasibility for market launch.
  • Manage the Innovation Process : Dive into user insights, develop concepts, iterate for refinement, and validate throughout the development stages.
  • Experiment Rapidly : Quickly capture and validate potential ideas to find high-impact opportunities and determine necessary actions.
  • Develop Prototypes : Collaborate with UX designers and design engineers within the NEXT team to iterate and build prototypes that can be tested and validated fast to demonstrate the value of innovation to the rest of the company.
  • Lead a Cross-Functional Team : Manage the US based agile innovation team with design and engineering to explore and deliver innovative concepts at Tinder.
  • Champion Innovation : Collaborate with cross-functional teams and other product teams within Tinder to get innovative ideas approved and developed into user-facing features.
  • Quality Assurance : Lead in developing specifications for large to extra-large initiatives, ensuring high standards of clarity and utility.
  • Strong Accountability : Demonstrate strong ownership over large to extra-large features and their outcomes, closely monitoring and reacting to metric changes.
  • Write clear and impactful product briefs based on qualitative and quantitative data and Tinder’s business circumstances.

Present the product ideas to wider audiences.

You’ll need :

  • 5+ years of product management experience in : High-growth digital consumer tech companies, or Product innovation agencies, or Highly technical product roles with a focus on consumer product innovation.
  • Exceptional ability to form product strategies in fast-changing environments with a proven track record of commercial success.
  • Proven experience driving innovation initiatives and validating market success.
  • Familiarity with innovative technologies and trends, especially in the social space.
  • Strong ability to deliver QoQ results from your roadmap and implement new technologies, processes, and tools.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering results and driving company-wide initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience managing complex relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of user needs and advocating for products that meet those needs.
  • Consistent track record of delivering meaningful, positive impact on team goals and KPIs.
  • Proficiency in relevant quantitative and qualitative data, understanding key drivers of member behavior.
  • University degree, ideally with a technical or business background, or a mix of education and experience.

$175,000 - $200,000 a year

Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education / training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered.

This salary range is reflective of a position based in Los Angeles or Palo Alto CA. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
