Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Sonographer with ARDMS certification and at least 2 years of adult care experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an adult radiology / cardiology setting
  • Day shifts Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM, 5x8s
  • No weekend, call, or on-call shifts
  • Floating within service line and scope may be required
  • Uses Epic EMR system; Epic experience is preferred
  • Assignment is open to travelers outside a 75-mile radius only
  • Candidates must be comfortable working independently, as they may be the sole Sonographer on site
  • Black scrubs required
  • Must complete fit testing; facial hair must allow for proper mask fit
  • No RTO allowed during the first week; no more than 7 days RTO per 13-week contract is permitted
  • Permanent employees must wait at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • Travelers can remain for 12 months (allied); must take a 6-month break after 12 months
  • Pre-employment modules must be completed prior to start

    • Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of sonography experience required
  • ARDMS certification required
  • Experience with adult patient population required
  • Current valid state license required at time of submission; license required if applicable
  • Epic charting experience preferred or required for some units
  • No local candidates within 75 miles
