POSITION SUMMARY :
The Driver is responsible for coordinating and scheduling authorized use of hospital vehicle to transport patients to / from Havenwyck Hospital.
Duties will include :
- Being responsible for driving hospital vehicle to transport adult, adolescent, and child patients to and from the Partial Hospitalization Program and inpatient facility, as needed
- Escorting and assisting patients, as needed, on and off the van and into designated areas.
- Ensuring the maintenance of a safe and sanitary environment within hospital vehicles.
- Recording data on maintenance and mileage logs.
- Scheduling routine preventative maintenance and necessary repairs of hospital vehicles.
- Communicating with guardians, family members, community providers and other contacts outside the hospital in a professional and caring manner.

Qualifications
- Must have a GED or High School Diploma
- Current and valid driver’s license with verification of no more than one (1) accident on records for the preceding five (5) years, no more than two (2) moving violations for the preceding six (6) years, no reckless driving tickets and no DWI / DUI violations
- Physical agility to assist patients on / off vehicle. Ability to push, pull, and lift up to pounds
- Previous experience transporting individuals in a mental health setting preferred
