Our client in Edison, NJ is seeking a Temporary Staff Accountant from now until December 31st, 2024 for a fully on-site role.
SCHEDULE : Monday - Friday, 8 : 30 a.m. to 4 : 30 p.m.
Job Description :
- Assists in preparing bank reconciliations on a monthly basis and conducts searches for unrecorded events and irregularities.
- Prepares GL reconciliation.
- Prepares adjusting journal entries for year-end and reconciliations.
- Compiles documentation for external auditors and provides backup support in preparing annual financial statements
- Generates monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports for all internal and external funds.
- Assists in all NJ escheat procedures, including Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Accounts, to ensure compliance with all rules and regulations.
- Assists in the preparation of information for third-party entities.
- Prepares unclaimed property submission to the State of NJ as required.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting;
- Advanced Excel skills
