Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Network Software Engineer with C / C++ / Python experience.
- Address security vulnerabilities. Keep platform drivers and platform specific software up-to-date.
- Address Custom Network Software Application test gaps and lab requirements
- Partners with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for business scenarios.
- Leads identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product, application, service, or platform
- Produce extensible and maintainable code used across products
- Leverages subject-matter expertise of cross-product features with appropriate stakeholders (e.g., project managers) to drive multiple group's project plans, release plans, and work items.
- Proactively seeks new knowledge and adapts to new trends, technical solutions, and patterns that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products
- Drive consistency in monitoring and operations at scale and shares knowledge with other engineers
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience as a software engineer with programming languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- 2+ years of experience with test automation tools and scripting languages
- 1+ years of experience with one of the following areas : Ethernet, VLANs, IP Routing, TCP / IP, BGP, L2-L3 protocols, Platform validation, QOS, network management.
- Knowledge of UNIX or Linux.
- Experience with agile methodology.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
