The Engineering team has an opening for an Entry Level Electrical Engineer.

Location : Charlotte, NC

Position Summary

As an Entry Level Electrical Engineer at DLR Group, you will be responsible for participating in the design process of electrical building systems from schematics through construction administration, preparing detailed electrical engineering drawings and performing design calculations.

As part of our integrated design teams, you will create buildings that elevate the human experience through design.

The successful candidate will

  • Assist in developing project objectives, goals, and documentation policies.
  • Develop electrical designs from concept through completion of construction.
  • Prepare engineering design calculations and layouts.
  • Prepare detailed engineering reports and narratives.
  • Coordinate electrical design requirements with architecture, structure, and other disciplines.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree (ABET accredited) in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous internship, co-op experience, or full-time position with a consulting engineering or A / E firm.
  • Passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam.
  • Experience with BIM (e.g. Autodesk Revit MEP) workflow.
  • Experience and interest in sustainable building design.
  • Lighting and / or low voltage design experience.

Emerging Professional Experience (EPX)
