Quality Control Technician – EZ-fill
QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN EZ-FILL
The Quality Control Technician EZ-fill is responsible for both startup and steady state monitoring and testing of products to ensure compliance with established specifications.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform both cosmetic and dimensional checks of glass products at defined intervals to determine conformance with specifications.
- Conduct basic chemical-physical, particle, and microbiological tests of water and product samples according to approved procedures.
- Basic cleaning and maintenance of sophisticated laboratory inspection equipment to ensure suitability before usage.
- Document results using good documentation practices on batch records / device history records.
- Entry of quality control results into Laboratory Information Management System for traceability purposes.
- Verification of suitable calibration of equipment before usage; escalation on any equipment found that is not in a calibrated state or equipment which appears to be damaged or otherwise not fit for intended purpose.
- Monitoring of raw materials and laboratory consumables to ensure suitable inventory levels.
- Participate in inspections / audits by providing applicable information to fulfill requests of inspectors / customers with potential interactions to explain relevant data, documentation, and rationale.
- Interacts regularly and effectively communicates with the key internal leaders and team as well as relevant stakeholders aimed at building level of awareness on quality vision supporting them in facing quality issues.
EDUCATION & REQUIREMENTS
- 2 years minimum experience working in a quality control environment performing routine quality control inspections and tests.
- Experience working in a healthcare (medical device or pharmaceutical environment), aerospace, or other similar regulated environment.
- Knowledge of device manufacturing Quality Management System processes and features.
- Knowledge of technologies and control strategies for relevant manufacturing processes in a medical device and / or pharma industry.
- Strong Communication skills to varying audiences including ability to train technicians on complex technical topics and program specific quality standards.
- Ability to work 1, 2 or 3rd shift.
- Ability to work weekends.
