Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with Level 1 or 2 trauma and Epic experience for a 13-week contract.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a Level 1 Trauma Center with 41 operating rooms
  • Responsible for surgical cases including General, GU / GYN, Neuro, ENT, and Plastics
  • Patient ratio is 1 : 1 in the OR setting
  • Day shift, three 12-hour shifts per week from 10 : 45 to 23 : 15 on all days of the week
  • Weekend shifts required per unit needs
  • No on-call requirements
  • Floating required to other ORs within the facility as needed
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Perform circulating and scrubbing duties for various surgical specialties
  • No blocked scheduling requests allowed
  • Up to 10 days of requested time off may be approved per contract except during specified blackout periods
  • Online modules required as part of onboarding and orientation
  • Scrubs are provided
  • Must not have prior employment or internal travel application with the health system within the last two years
  • First day orientation includes completion of facility-required modules

    • Requirements

  • Active CO or compact RN license
  • AHA BLS certification required
  • A minimum of 3 years recent Operating Room RN experience
  • Previous experience in a Level 1 or 2 trauma center required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • No first-time travelers will be considered
  • Candidates who have applied to internal UC Health travel or permanent positions within the last two years will not be considered
