The City of Bixby pays 100% of an employee's Health and Dental Insurance coverage. An employee will pay $129.00 per month to add dependents to their Health and Dental coverage. The City of Bixby pays the balance of those premiums. The City of Bixby provides $20,000.00 in life insurance for the employee. The employee may purchase additional coverage for himself and / or family member(s). The City of Bixby also offers Vision, AFLAC, and Flexible Spending Accounts at the employee's expense.
Retirement is through OPERS (Oklahoma Public Employees Retirement System), the employee contributes 3.5% bi-weekly, and the City contributes 16.5%. The City offers various training classes and seminars at no cost to the employee. College reimbursement up to 50% of tuition costs with an annual limit up to $1,500. (The course of study has to be related to your job). The City offers 13 paid holidays. After 6 months of full-time employment, employees will receive 5 days of vacation (1 wk.). Upon completion of 1 year of full-time employment, employees will receive an additional 5 days of vacation (1 wk.). After 7-12 years of full-time employment, employees will receive 15 days of vacation (3 wks.). After 13-14 years of full-time employment, employees will receive 20 days of vacation (4 wks.). After 15-20 years of full-time employment, employees will receive 25 days of vacation (5 wks.). After 20+ years of full-time employment, employees will receive 30 days of vacation (6 wks.). After 30 days of full-time employment, employees accrue 1 day (8 hrs.) sick leave per month.
