Computer Engineer, Senior

The Opportunity :

As a Computer Engineer, you understand the workings behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to how law enforcement investigates modern te chn ology.

We’re looking for a Computer Engineer who can use their skills to gain access and recover data from today's electronics in support of law enforcement investigations.

At Booz Allen, you’ll use your engineering skills to a support a broad range of partners in law enforcement. Our team performs a wide range of te chn ical examinations required to successfully exploit both commer cia l and custom electronic devices.

You’ll reverse engineer system interfaces, storage, and security, prototype in sof tware or hardware, and create novel test equipment and procedures.

That’s why we need you, a Computer Engineer, with experience in embedded systems, to help us hack modern electronics and recover critical information to provide detailed analysis reports to law enforcement organizations, the military services, and international partners.

You Have :

5+ years of experience in an engineering lab or development environment

5+ years of experience with C, C++, or Python programming languages

Ability to prepare written documents such as reports, test plans, design specifications, requirements documents, and training materials

Ability to brief and present findings to clients, customers, and external partners, interact with client engineers, and resp ond to te chn ical questions and requests from customers

Top Secret clearance

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering

Nice If You Have :

Experience with embedded flash memory te chn ology

Experience with UART, I2C, SPI, JTAG, or other protocols for system interface, programming, and debugging

Experience with Chain of Custody and evidence handling procedures in a forensic laboratory

Experience with imaging, extracting, and parsing data from electronic devices

Experience with reverse engineering tools, including IDA Pro, OllyDbg, or Ghidra

Clearance :

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ;

Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
