Qualifications :

The Boeing Company is currently seeking Software Test & Verification Engineers to join the Disruptive Computing & Network (DC&N) team located in El Segundo, California, Annapolis Junction, Maryland, Fairfax, Virginia or Huntington Beach, California .

The position will involve creating software for world class, next generation disruptive systems and technologies. The selected candidate will work with the Disruptive Computing & Networks (DC&N) product team focused on the concept, requirements, architecture, design and development of a future system.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Mid-Level and Senior Level Software Engineers.

Position Responsibilities :

• Leads activities to develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems.
• Leads development of code and integration of complex software components into a fully functional software system.
• Leads test automation framework development supporting automated testing for all aspects of software applications
• Develops software verification plans, automated test suites, and test environments, executing the tests and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met
• Troubleshoots failures and collaborates with cross-functional teams to bring defects to closure
• Provides technical leadership for software projects and leads software supplier management activities.
• Leads development, selection, tailoring and deployment of processes, tools and metrics.
• Plans, executes and documents software research and development projects.
• Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations.
• Tracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards.
• Works under minimal direction

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience) :

• 4+ years of experience designing and developing software for a real time or non-real-time system
• 3+ years of experience in test planning, execution, and automation
• 3+ years implementing automated tests
• 3 years experience designing and implementing automated test frameworks from ground up
• Experience with requirements analysis
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, C, C++, JavaScript, and MATLAB

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience) :

• 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
• Active Top Secret / SCI Security Clearance with Poly
• Experience testing at all layers of the application, including GUI and non-GUI
• 9+ years of experience designing and developing test automation frameworks for a real time or non-real-time system
• Experience automating software builds, unit tests, integration tests, deployment, and installations using a DevOps tool chain (Gitlab, Jenkins, Nexus, Artifactory, etc).
• Experience using GitLab or similar CI / CD tools
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)

Mid-Level (Level 3) : Education / experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.

g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.

g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Senior (Level 4) : Education / experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.

g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.

g. PhD+4 years’ related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range for Mid-Level : $112,200 $151,800

Summary pay range for Senior : $130,900 $177,100
