Job Description
The Swift Group is looking for a Software Engineer will have a deep understanding of cloud technologies and support customers interested in working in a multi-cloud environment by recommending cloud solutions based on system requirements.
Work location is in Herndon, VA.
Key Responsibilities :
- Responsible for the automated provisioning of physical and AWS servers, utilizing existing COTs products (Service Now)
- Provide analytical and technical support, installation, repair, and troubleshooting in cloud services
- Implement Web apps and support services
- Develop Web based UI’S
Required Skills
- 11 years of related experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Knowledge of ServiceNow and its use as an automated provisioning mechanism to provision multiple cloud service provider’s servers including Azure and AWS Windows and Linux AMIs
- Deep understanding / experience in Cloud technologies (AWS, MS Azure, Google Cloud, IBM Cloud, Oracle cloud)
- Experience in a LINUX environment
- extensive scripting knowledge and capabilities specifically related to PowerShell, Power-CLI, JavaScript, Python, Perl Scripts, and Bash Shell scripting
- US Citizenship and active TS / SCI with Polygraph security clearance required
Desired Skills
- IT system automation to include artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI / ML)
- Automation tools (e.g. Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform, etc.)
- Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Knowledge of Security Development Operations (SecDevOps) on iterative development projects
- Cloud design, implementation, and configuration
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code
- Knowledge of Agile development principles
- Knowledge of modern software languages (e.g. Java, C, C++, C#, Python, Perl, etc.)
- Experience with automated testing
