The basics of this position :

The Coordinator of Academic Pathways will be responsible for developing and revising articulation agreements and transfer guides with four-year institutions, reviewing and updating current agreements, and representing Curriculum & Assessment on guided pathways committees.

The coordinator will also act as a liaison to advising and student affairs, discussing program changes, and disseminating information about new articulation agreements.

Additionally, the coordinator serves as the subject-matter expert on Guided Pathways, by serving on relevant committees, attending industry conferences and meetings, and contributing to new program development efforts.

What you'll do :

  • Collaborates with transfer schools to develop, implement, and revise transfer articulation agreements.
  • Collaborates with transfer schools to develop, implement, and revise transfer guides when articulation agreements are not feasible.
  • Conducts annual review of articulation agreements and transfer guides.
  • Conducts annual review of first semester suggested plans for undecided students.
  • Maintains Guided Pathways official documents and SharePoint site.
  • Serves on all Guided Pathways committees, and other committees as appropriate, as the subject-matter expert for Guided Pathways.
  • Acts as a vital link between the Advising department and other Student Affairs units, facilitating seamless information sharing and effective communication of updates.
  • Reviews and approves marketing materials related to Guided Pathways.
  • Attend annual Committee for Transfer Articulation (COTA) meeting.
  • Attend National Institute for the Study of Transfer Students (NISTS) conference when possible.
  • Assists with new program development (Tech Scans / DACUMs).
  • In collaboration with college faculty, develop, review, and update academic plans in the college catalog, and review plans when program revisions occur.
  • Review program revisions and / or new programs from a pathways perspective when they go through curriculum process.
  • Serve on District Curriculum Committee as ex-officio member and provides guidance related to Guided Pathways.
  • Develops Guided Pathways training materials and conducts presentations as requested.
  • Attends Program Review meetings to provide guidance related to Guided Pathways as appropriate and documents results.
  • Provides support for assessment initiatives and offers guidance to program coordinators on best practices related to Guided Pathways.

Education, experience, and other requirements :

At least two (2) years in higher education environment, preferably in roles related to transfer articulation, curriculum development, or academic advising is desirable.

Preferred Qualifications :

Master's degree in education, education administration, communication, curriculum and instruction, counseling, business administration, or closely related field is preferred.

Significant work experience in higher education or project management certification coupled with a Bachelor's degree may be considered.
