A Warehouse Training Coordinator is a position typically responsible for providing oversight, training and support to warehouse employees.

They assist in overseeing and delivering training programs, ensuring that warehouse staff are well-prepared to perform their job functions effectively and safely.

This role will work under the supervision of the Director of Training. Below is a job description for the Warehouse Training Coordinator :

Job Summary :

The Warehouse Training Coordinator is responsible for assisting in delivering training programs to warehouse personnel. They oversee and support the training processes, help develop training materials, and ensure that employees receive adequate training in various aspects of warehouse operations, including safety procedures, onboarding programs, equipment usage, and LMS management.

Key Responsibilities :

Training Oversight :

  • Assist in conducting training sessions for new hires, cross-training employees, and ongoing skill development.
  • Work closely with the Training Director and Safety Team to deliver training content effectively.

Safety Training :

Support safety training efforts by helping to instruct employees on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Process Training :

Review SOPs with trainees to ensure they understand and perform their job functions as directed in the standard operating procedures.

Equipment Training :

Assist in training warehouse staff on the safe and efficient operation of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems.

Inventory Management :

  • Help in providing training on proper inventory control procedures, including receiving, storage, and order picking processes.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with inventory management standards.

Training Materials and Resources :

  • Assist in the development and preparation of training materials, manuals, and resources.
  • Organize and maintain training materials for ease of use during training sessions.

Record Keeping :

  • Assist in maintaining accurate training records (LMS) for all warehouse employees.
  • Support tracking of certifications, training completion, and compliance records.

Safety Compliance :

Encourage and ensure adherence to safety guidelines, company policies, and industry regulations during training sessions.

Continuous Learning :

  • Stay updated on industry best practices, safety regulations, and new technologies.
  • Seek opportunities for personal and professional development related to warehouse training.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree may be preferred.
