• We have aMechanical Engineer position open in Orlando FL. This position isresponsible for mechanical engineering on largescaleprojects.
• Project requirements involvingmechanical system design from scratch analysis / calculations(stress / fatigue / etc.) acceleration forces load calculationsmaterial stress design failure and effects analysis risk assessmentcomponent selection and mechanical systeminstallation / commissioning.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Mustbe organized technically competent have effective oral and writtencommunications experienced in working in a multidisciplinedenvironment and interfacing with engineers designers anddrafters
• Designs develops and implements fullyintegrated mechanical assembly systems to meet processrequirements. As well as complying with any local or governmentagency design / implementation codes
• Knowledge ofanalyzing system design for Hazard analysis development andmitigation
• Understanding of Class 1 parts inorder to minimize their need and optimize redundancy minimizingsingle points of failure
• Develops documents ofsystem configuration and design. Documents include : Theory / Description of operation Detailed mechanical system designdescription system implementation / acceptance test plans systemroutine maintenance / job plans
• Develops drawingsof mechanical design assemblies and installation procedures onAutoCAD and / or SolidWorks software
• Ability todesign and troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic controlsystems
• Ability to perform systemanalysis / calculations including : Stress fatigue reliability lifeexpectancy tolerance studies
• Knowledge of ridesystem design requirements for attractions involving guestaccelerations reach envelope ingress / egress weight and emergencyevacuation analysis and implementation upon control system failurein worstcase scenarios
• Will assist with theinitial startup and debugging of integrated systems and thedevelopment of system documentation
• Individualwill be working on system integration projects for clients inindustries such as entertainment andmanufacturing
• Will act as technical lead onprojects and guide lowerlevel engineers technicians andcontractors
• Will act as Project Manager onsmaller projects ranging from $50k to $250k. This includes but isnot limitedto :

Developsand executes implementation plans for theproject

Assignswork to meet overall projectdeadlines

Ensuresthat all project team members clearly understand the scope of WMresponsibilities

Developsschedules for WM and customerrequirements

Evaluatesprogress on project(s) and detailschanges

Responsiblefor all purchasing and subcontractorrequirements

Responsiblefor the development of costs and proposal of change orders tocontractscope

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Education Bachelors Degree in MechanicalEngineering.
• Experience 5 years in the following areas ispreferred :

Anindepth understanding of mechanical systems components stressanalysis acceleration forces and knowledge of amusement ride safetystandards (ASTMStandards).

Experiencewith AutoCAD and SolidWorks is alsodesired
