Position Summary
Columbia Dining Services is a dynamic, progressive department in an exciting, fun environment with a customer-focused culture.
We have an immediate opening for a Cashier. The cashier performs routine work under immediate supervision that involves calculation, receipt and custody of cash and charge purchases.
Responsibilities
- Set up cash register with sufficient change obtained from supervisor.
- Calculate the cost of items purchased by customer and enter on register (Cash or charge).
- Collect cash and make change. Collect cards for charge customers and scan on register.
- At the end of the shift, clear register and record the cash received and hand over cash to supervisor with bank.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management personnel.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Some experience / minimum of 6 months related experience required.
- Ability to calculate and operate cash register.
