Position Summary :

Service excellence is to be centered on patient care and patient relationships and is the responsibility of all employees.

Teamwork is the norm and all employees will be held accountable to work as effective team members. Provide / support patient's care by performing tasks and duties consistent with professional standards, ICSI guidelines, and PNHS policies and procedures.

In addition, may function in supply aid and / or sterilization capacity. Maintain a safe work area and ensure that it is adequately stocked, cleaned and organized.

Implement cleaning and sterilizing procedures to support infection control and OSHA standards.

Education / Experience :

  • Graduate of an accredited EMT program and current EMT License
  • Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross required and maintained.

On-line BLS certification is not acceptable

  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including appropriate use of English grammar and spelling
  • Demonstrated ability to function with multiple priorities and interruptions

PREFERRED :

  • At least six months recent (within the last 3 years) experience in a direct patient care or pharmacy setting
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Computer skills preferred.

Special Knowledge / Skills / Certifications / Licenses :

Strong clinical and human relations skills. Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing, and maintains standards of clinical skills and professional ethics as established by the AAMA.

Basic computer / keyboarding / mouse skills required. Demonstrates knowledge of age related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and ensure safety of patients.

Must maintain skill in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
