Field Service Technician - Electrical Atlanta, GA

Kelly Engineering is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our clients team which is a global leader in electrical distribution systems in data center, construction, healthcare, automotive, oil & gas, and textile industries.
Role and responsibilities
This role would take ownership of the field aspects for assigned projects
- Own the implementation of projects in the field
- Train customers on the proper installation, supporting, and testing methods for client busway systems
- Resolve open issues for customers at the jobsite
- Prepare reports detailing site visits and any related issues
- Inspect and repair damaged products
- Take measurements for field fit pieces, both by hand and using a laser scanner
- Participation in ongoing project meetings and taking ownership of customer issues and driving resolution internally and externally
This role will have some moderate-level project engineering and management responsibilities in addition to field work including :
- Drawing reviews of potential projects
- Creation of Bills of Material for various projects during the quotation stage
- Creation of project drawings for small and mid-size projects
- Review of projects during the intake process to confirm layout details, project information, and assist the sales team
- Assist in presentations and sales calls on an as-needed basis
- Attend project meetings and develop a repour with key customers
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Associates or Bachelor's in Engineering / Sciences (or equivalent experience)
- Open to journeyman electricians, or veterans with electrical backgrounds
- OSHA30 Training
- 3+ Years of field experience in the electrical construction industry preferred
Preferred Skills
SAP, Material Knowledge of Electrical Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Revit and / or AutoCAD 3D
Travel
40%-70% (project dependent)
