$68,000.00

Assistant Program Director Shifts :

Monday-Friday 9 : 00AM-5 : 00PM

Assistant Program Director Description :

Under the direction of the Program Director, the Assistant Director provides clinical and administrative oversight and supports clinic needs at COMHAR's Latino Treatment Program (LTP).

LTP is an outpatient behavioral health clinic in COMHAR's outpatient behavioral health division which serves a large Latinx / o population in the community.

LTP provides trauma-informed individual, family and group therapy, medication-assisted treatment, psychiatric evaluations and treatment, and support services.

  • Essential Responsibilities :
  • May be asked to represent the program when delegated (ex : depending on Program Director's availability).
  • Assists the Program Director with management of clinical and administrative program needs and services to ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies (CBH, NIAC, DBH, OMHSA, etc.

as well as program and agency compliance and quality standards.

  • Assists with fostering professional relationships with internal and external providers, regulatory bodies, and community resources and partnerships.
  • Encourages / models' recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, ethical, and culturally sensitive service delivery.
  • Provides and documents trauma-informed, recovery-oriented clinical supervision (individual and group) to assigned clinical and administrative staff, and may provide supervision to clinical supervisors, at the discretion of the Director.
  • Works in collaboration with clinical and administrative teams to ensure quality services and data collection.
  • Supervises clinical cases assigned to supervisees; reviews and monitors complex cases.
  • Provides administrative supervision (including timely submission of required documentation, oversight of procedures productivity, outcomes evaluation, etc.).
  • At the discretion of the Program Director, may provide direct service, as needed.
  • Collaborates with Human Resources department and Program Director for hiring training, credentialing, and employee relations needs.
  • Always maintains high ethical and professional standards.
  • Motivates and supports staff to maintain elevated levels of performance in accordance with agency policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Assists with, and may lead, crisis management and de-escalation interventions.
  • Assists with the management of significant incidents including incident reporting, incident and crisis management and training, and following up with all relevant parties, as appropriate.
  • Must work a flexible schedule with on-call responsibilities and some evening and weekends required.
  • Leads and completes orientation and training needed to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies (OMHSA, CBH, NIAC, etc.

and internal Compliance and Quality Management standards and procedures.

  • Collaborates with multi-disciplinary team.
  • Completes chart monitoring / auditing to ensure compliance & quality reviews and documents thoroughly.
  • Assists with communication of clinical needs to providers and other programs.
  • Attends external and internal meetings and training sessions, as required. May be asked to represent the program or agency.
  • On call responsibilities and some evening / weekend hours may be required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed, based on program / agency need.

Requirements :

Education and Experience

Must possess at least a Master's Degree in a clinical mental health discipline; in order to count as a mental health degree, the degree must meet OMHSAS and CBH / DBH standards.

Foreign degrees must also meet OMHSAS and CBH / DBH standards.

  • Licensed or license-eligible strongly preferred (LPC, LMFT, LCSW).
  • At least three years post Master Degree experience providing mental health treatment including psychotherapy, counseling and assessment is required.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Training in Evidence Based Practices preferred.
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish & English) language skills strongly required.
