Cardinal Health manages the pharmacy at Monterey Park Hospital, and we are currently recruiting for a PRN Pharmacy Intern to work as needed covering vacation / PTO.
Hours of the facility are Monday-Friday 7AM-9PM and Saturday & Sunday 7AM-6PM.
Pharmacy interns must act in compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, codes and standards of the facility. Supportive personnel work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a licensed pharmacist.
Intern will assist the pharmacist in providing quality pharmaceutical care to all patients by performing certain technical duties in the pharmacy department.
Responsiblities
Applies knowledge and company policies to complete a variety of tasks
Demonstrates a working knowledge of jobs outside area of responsibility
maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications
Works on assignments that are moderately difficult requiring judgment in resolving issues
May assist in recommendation of processes on new assignments
Adheres to all quality guidelines
Works with limited supervision. Work occasionally involves review of output by work lead or supervisor
May provide general guidance or technical assistance to less experienced team members
Qualifications
Must be enrolled in an accredited School of Pharmacy and / or have a Student License as provided by the State.
Flexibility to work various shifts
Ability to hear, write, and speak clearly in order to communicate with customers and health care professionals
Strong customer service skills.

Anticipated hourly range : $19.10 per hour - $27.30 per hour
