We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This is a permanent, hybrid role that offers the flexibility of remote work with occasional in-office meetings.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting within large-scale companies, preferably within the construction industry, and will be comfortable handling multiple sets of books and operating accounts.

Responsibilities :

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in the financial health and growth of our company. Your primary duties will include :

1. Overseeing and managing multiple sets of operating entities

2. Conducting regular balance sheet reconciliations.

3. Preparing and posting accurate journal entries.

4. Managing job costs and performing variance analysis.

5. Developing comprehensive financial statements and reports.

6. Participating in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) processes and activities.

7. Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.

8. Assisting in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.

9. Collaborating with other finance team members and departments to streamline financial operations.

10. Providing guidance and support to junior accounting staff.

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate for the Senior Accountant role will have the following qualifications :

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus.

2. A minimum of 5 years of experience within a large company. Experience in the construction industry is a plus.

3. Extensive experience with balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, job costs, variance analysis, and financial statement preparation.

4. Experience managing multiple sets of books and operating accounts.

5. Experience participating in M&A processes.

6. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.

7. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

8. Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.

9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

11. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
