Overview

As a Credit Officer in the CRM Global Credit Financing and Solutions (GCFS) team you will support a number of leveraged and structured lending businesses covering middle market corporates, digital infrastructure, renewable energy & project finance, aircraft financing, social infrastructure, and equity margin loans.

Counterparties span a broad range of industries, investment and non-investment grade ratings, and transactions are typically complex and highly structured.

You will play a crucial role in evaluating new transactions, making fundamental credit decisions, and providing credit approvals.

Credit officers work in close partnership with front office colleagues by participating in due diligence, assessing credit quality, evaluating risks, assigning ratings, and determining risk appetite and will also be responsible for monitoring and managing a portfolio of counterparties, conducting periodic reviews, and participating in regulatory audits and you will be an integral part of contributing to the success of Deutsche Bank's structured finance franchise.

What You'll Do

  • Participate in due diligence, review financial, commercial, technical analysis, evaluate business plans, financial projections and models
  • Assess ratings, risk appetite, and compliance with policy requirements and underwriting standards
  • Analyze transactions, develop, and present credit recommendations to CRM senior management, document and communicate credit decisions
  • Manage a portfolio of existing transactions, monitor performance, conduct annual and periodic credit and rating reviews

How You'll Lead

  • Build relationships with front office colleagues, challenging assumptions while providing constructive feedback
  • Communicate credit views to senior management and help mentor and manage junior staff
  • Lead responses and discussions related to audit and regulatory inquiries

Skills You'll Need

  • VP level or equivalent experience, extensive relevant experience in a corporate credit or risk management function
  • Prior experience in leveraged lending, asset-based finance, project finance or commercial real estate; knowledge of derivatives and familiarity with legal documentation helpful
  • Strong analytical, financial and communication skills. Detail-focused and able to present information in a structured, clear, and concise way
  • Industry knowledge in technology, energy, transportation, healthcare, or business services and
  • Sound credit judgment and ability to independently make and defend transaction recommendations

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, NY office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $125,000 to $203,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications.

Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
