Position Summary : Join a fast growing, Physician run Urgent Care Clinic. We are looking for that team player, self-motivated APC that could enhance our patient experience and care.
Essential Job Functions :
- Provides medical care and treatment to patients, under prescribed guidelines and direction of Physician.
- Candidate should be caring and compassionate, willing to work with a variety of age groups.
- Performs treatment and diagnosis of patients, prescribing medications, documentation in EMR and billing correct medical codes.
- Conducts approved diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs.
- Formulates and Implements treatment plan for illness management.
- When appropriate, discuss case with physician and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan.
Prescribes appropriate interventions and medications.
- Contributes to excellent patient care.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- Licensed PA / NP in the State of Utah.
- DEA and Utah Controlled Substance license required.
- Basic Life Support (ACLS) certified, or specialty certification as required by the department.
- Motivated, hardworking individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to multitask, have strong interpersonal skills, and also be able to work well on a team.
- Ability to exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision making to achieve objectives.
- Advanced interpersonal skills necessary to interact in complex situations, work cooperatively with peers, senior management and represent the Clinic in a Professional Manner.
Hours : This is a PRN "as needed" Position in our Urgent Care that is open 8-8 pm Mon-Sun including Holidays and weekends, except Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
