We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location.
Your Responsibilities :
Designs and analyzes electro-mechanical components and systems. Develops drawings and specifications for new and modified designs.
Supports manufacturing and testing of electro-mechanical equipment.

Your Challenge :
Designs and analyzes electro-mechanical components and systems. Conducts studies and testing on new and modified designs.
Develops design information for use in drawings and specifications.
Provides engineering design, maintenance support and training for new product and equipment. Assesses new and existing equipment to optimize design efficiency, safety, quality, and cost effectiveness.
Designs and conducts experiments, collects data, and interprets results; conducts analysis and writes analysis and test reports.
Capable of drawing conclusions and reconciling differences between predicted values and actual results.
Plans, coordinates, and executes, with guidance, a variety of engineering activities including documentation, reporting, publishing, and making technical or other presentations.
Designs new equipment and machinery. May assist in building, installing, debugging, and testing new equipment to ensure production capabilities.
Determines maintenance schedules, procedures, and safety standards for current and new equipment to ensure equipment is operated, maintained, and serviced properly.
Determines technical objectives and develops innovative, practical solutions to advance technical engineering problems. Provides technical support to failure investigations and bid responses.
What You Bring :
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering; advance degree a plus.
Minimum 2-10 years work experience dealing with manufacture and design of engineered products.
Experience with rotating equipment and machine designs (motors, pumps, generators and propulsors).
GD&T, CAD systems, CAE systems, FEA methods.
Ability to create models and drawings, present design reviews, and perform trade studies and design reviews. Capable of coordinating multiple project responsibilities.
Must be a team player and have knowledge of MS Office Suite.
Ability to perform analysis and studies with strong attention to details in a fast-paced environment.
Must be sole US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance.
