BryceTech is looking for an experienced Senior Systems & Logistics Engineer to support our US Space Force, Space Systems Command (SSC) customer.
Customer Background Information : Space Domain Awareness & Combat Power is the Space Systems Command Program Executive Office (PEO) focused on delivering cyber, ground- and space-based systems that rapidly detect, warn, characterize, attribute, and predict threats to national, allied, and commercial space systems, while also providing National Security deterrence capabilities countering those identified threats to prevail in a space conflict.
SSC / SZ-BC provides highly classified Space Domain Awareness (SDA) systems, Defensive and Offensive Space Control (DSC / OSC) capabilities, and space test range assets to meet current and projected Department of Defense (DoD) operational requirements.
SSC / SZ-BC develops, integrates, tests, deploys, sustains, and supports operations for systems that meet strategic and tactical operational needs.
SSC provides unrivaled space systems to ensure survival for both the United States Space Force and our nation. These systems span the entire acquisition life cycle.
This contract will support multiple SSC / SZ-BC programs, as well as various other Space Force, Air Force, and mission partner programs.
The effort will support the development, advancement, and sustainment of weapon systems for Space Systems Command (SSC) Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power (SDACP) (SSC / SZ), Battle Management, Command, Control, and Communications (BMC3) (SSC / BC), and their mission partners.
This mission area requires personnel with experience and an in-depth understanding of the environments that include ground, near-space, space, and any system that operates in those environments.
Minimum Knowledge and Experience :
- Proficient in modeling and simulation on a myriad of platforms and in interpreting results; experience with integrating numerous different modeling and simulation tools across multiple organizations
- Background in handling logistics and sustainment of large integrated systems
- Experience with building and maintaining system risk program, including risk process definition, risk identification, and detailed technical risk burn down plans
- Must have direct applicable experience in 1. space control; 2. network integration; 3. RF engineering; 4. computer science;
5. electronic warfare; or 6. systems engineering.

Description of work :
1. Provide space acquisitions, engineering, operations, and technical advice and assistance for all projects and programs, as required, to support any stage of the acquisition life cycle.
Support program acquisition efforts for advanced technology, future concept development, and integration activities. Advise and assist the Government on cost, schedule, and performance matters.
2. Revise or provide draft JCIDS and acquisition documentation to the applicable Government program manager and support the presentation of products to internal and external customers.
Documentation shall include but is not limited to, Initial Capability Documents, Interface Control Documents, Capability Development / Production / Requirements Documents, Milestone documentation, Acquisition Strategies, Analysis of Alternatives, Concept of Operations, Memorandums of Agreement / Understanding, Technical / Systems Requirement Documents, Defense Acquisition Board documentation, Technical Evaluations, System Specifications, enabling concepts, training material, briefings, white papers, reports, and analysis results).
Work shall be developed using the latest applicable Government guidance (e.g., MIL-STD).
3. Provide a draft SME-level technical and / or programmatic status report of any individual program or of the portfolio, in coordination with the Government program manager, upon request by the Government.
4. Identify areas of improvement, including acquisition process improvements. Provide actionable, feasible recommendations and execute tasks for reducing risk where appropriate.
These recommendations may include technical, organizational, or programmatic changes where appropriate. Assist in building and maintaining a Government risk program, including risk identification, process definition, and detailed technical risk mitigation plans, as required by the Government.
5. The A&AS Contractor shall assist the Government with reviewing and analyzing packages delivered in support of DoD programs.
These items include, but are not limited to Program Contractor Status Reports, Contract Performance Reports, Integrated Master Schedules, Integrated Program Management Reports, Contract Funds Status Reports, Work Breakdown Structures, and other applicable technical data packages for compliance with Program Contractor contractual requirements to include but not limited to Data Item Descriptions and the CDRL’s.
The Contractor shall analyze, reconcile, identify discrepancies, recommend corrective action, track findings, and advise the government on resolution.
The Contractor shall participate in DCMA surveillance reviews and provide evaluations of surveillance reports and assessments performed by the Agency on Program Contractors’ earned value management and / or alternate management system, processes and procedures, and performance.
The Contractor shall perform IMS reconciliation to ensure activities are traceable to IMP events.
6. Maintain awareness of current program schedule, monitor acquisition implementation, report requirement shortfalls, and provide a program assessment based on the identified risks.
Combine and correlate program execution data with the program baselines to accurately maintain and update acquisition reports.
7. Assist the Government to execute source selections subject to FAR 9.505-4. Source selection assistance activities shall include, but are not limited to, coordinating functional meeting requests, developing source selection documentation (e.
g. source selection plan, acquisition strategy, non-disclosure agreements, etc.), and reviewing and drafting proposal evaluations, to the extent that such activities are not inherently governmental.
8. Provide engineering and technical expertise to support ongoing and new / advanced Command and Control (C2) efforts and the Contractor shall integrate those efforts with and into the classified portfolio.
Establish a liaison between the Space C2 and Enterprise Ground Services (EGS) program offices and the SSC / SZ-BC classified program offices.
Personnel supporting this effort will focus on integrated C2 solutions with Space C2 and EGS spiral increment efforts to ensure seamless integration of the classified portfolio.
9. Provide technical support and programmatic assistance. Provide skilled and experienced lifecycle logistics personnel to support cradle-to-grave development and sustainment.
This support includes systems engineering, architecture development and decision making, integrated logistics planning and execution, acquisition assistance (including contracting, finance, and scheduling activities), and overall product support, throughout acquisition lifecycle efforts i.
e., design, development, test, production, sustainment improvement modifications, and system disposition.
10. Develop and deliver draft product support requirements documents to ensure product support considerations are incorporated into system acquisitions.
Develop and refine the product support requirements, which includes working with Government cross-functional teams to develop accurate assumptions, capture data, and perform data analysis.
The Contractor shall provide guidance, as required, and conduct assessments to facilitate informed decisions on developing and maturing product support elements and adherence to statutory and regulatory directives.
11. Implement and manage support functions required to field and maintain the readiness and operational capability of weapon systems, subsystems, and components.
Provide oversight of the product support functions for fielded systems.
12. Be knowledgeable in the implementation and execution of the twelve (12) Product Support Elements (PSE). Experience with managing military airlift cargo using the government transportation network and billing process.
Possess intimate knowledge of Financial and Air Clearance Transportation System (FACTS) and Defense Enterprise and Accounting Management System (DEAMS).
Provide product support to various space systems to include but not limited to : Development Security Operations (DevSecOps) rapid prototyping, and rapid fielding.
13. Develop and maintain technical order management and maintenance activities (TOMA). Assist with the development of new technical order development strategies to align with changing Government system acquisition strategies.
TOMA activities include but are not limited to : RFI, RFP, SOW, PWS participation; efficient, accurate, cost-effective acquisition of technical orders;
management of technical order in-process reviews, working group meetings, and validation / verification events and schedules.

Educational Requirements : MA / MS
Experience Requirements :
- Over 10 years of relative experience.
- Experience with the MS Office Suite of Tools.
Specialized Tool Experience : CAMEO
Additional Information
Must have TS / SCI and have current SCI access.
Position is contingent on BryceTech winning a prime bid on the USSF SSC HEMISPHERE contract and subsequent TOs.
