ENGINEERING HEAD OF SECURITIES AND TRUST SOLUTIONS WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? The ideal candidate for the Engineering Head of Securities and Trust Solutions role will be a dynamic leader with a strong background in both technology and financial services, particularly in securities and trust solutions.

They will possess strong leadership abilities, strategic thinking skills, and effective communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and drive transformative change within our organization.

Moreover, we are seeking individuals who can effectively drive change based on the value and outcomes they deliver, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the organization.

What you will do Oversee the technical architecture, design, and development of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems, while also remaining hands-on in an engineering role.

Provide both functional and technical leadership, mentoring software engineers throughout the process. Promote a culture of high-quality coding with a focus on automated testing and validation, adhering to the You Build You Own (YBYO) model.

Handle complex engineering tasks for performance tuning, monitoring, deployment, and production support. Research, advocate, and implement vendor dependencies to optimize the architecture.

Create, maintain, and update CI / CD pipelines within a hybrid environment. Help establish guidelines in the areas of development methodology, architecture, security, change, configuration management, and compliance.

Collaborate with business partners, architects, and other groups to identify system requirements based on priority. Work with various, geographically dispersed teams to launch new features in business applications.

Oversee the design, development, deployment, and version control of APIs for Omni-channel clients. Strategic Leadership : Develop and execute a detailed technology strategy that is in line with the business goals of the Securities and Trust Solutions division, ensuring that technological progress contributes to growth and efficiency.

Innovation and Digital Transformation : Lead the adoption and integration of cutting-edge technologies to enhance service offerings, optimize operations, and gain a competitive advantage.

Stay informed about new technologies and market trends to preserve the division's leadership position. Project Management : Oversee the full lifecycle of technology projects, from initiation to deployment and subsequent maintenance.

Guarantee that projects are completed on time, within budget, and exceed standards of quality and performance. Stakeholder Engagement : Work with senior executives, business unit leaders, and essential stakeholders to comprehend their needs and convert them into viable technology solutions.

Maintain transparent communication and ensure that technology efforts are in sync with business goals. Risk and Compliance Management : Detect, evaluate, and reduce risks associated with technology.

Comply with legal regulations, industry norms, and company policies to safeguard the division’s systems and data integrity and security.

Vendor and Partner Management : Oversee relationships with third-party vendors and technology partners. Handle contract negotiations, supervise service provision, and confirm the delivery of high-quality, cost-efficient solutions.

Performance Monitoring and Optimization : Set up and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of technology initiatives.

Employ analytics to perpetually refine processes and performance. Client Focus : Give precedence to client needs, ensuring that technology solutions are tailored to provide outstanding service and cater to their specific demands in securities and trust services.

Resource Management : Efficiently allocate and manage resources, including budget, personnel, and technology assets, to maximize the impact of technology investments and achieve business goals.

Must-Have* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent At least 12 years of software development experience At least 10 years of experience : Java, .

NET, Python At least 6 year experience with databases and data modeling / design (SQL & NoSQL) Skills and Knowledge Extensive Experience : Minimum of 10-15 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on technology leadership and domain expertise in areas such as wealth management, securities solutions, data engineering, and private banking.

Technology Expertise : Proficiency in relevant technology domains, including apps management, cloud technologies, data engineering, analytics, fintech solutions, and great to have emerging technologies experience such as AI, machine learning, blockchain, and virtual reality.

Domain Knowledge : Deep understanding of the specific domains within the financial services industry, including wealth management, securities trading, trust solutions, data management, and private banking.

Familiarity with industry-specific regulations, compliance standards, and market trends is essential. Leadership Abilities : Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in leading cross-functional teams, driving innovation, and fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.

Proven track record of strategic thinking, resource optimization, and delivering impactful results. Communication Skills : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Strong presentation skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients, business partners, and internal stakeholders.

Strategic Vision : Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate market trends, identify opportunities for innovation, and develop technology strategies that align with business goals.

Experience in driving transformative change based on value and outcomes, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the organization.

Education : Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, finance, business administration, or a related field.

Additional certifications or specialized training in relevant technology domains and financial services industry would be advantageous.

Track Record of Success : Proven track record of success in previous leadership roles, with tangible achievements in driving technology initiatives, delivering business value, and enhancing client satisfaction within the financial services industry.

Adaptability and Resilience : Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and emerging technologies.

Resilience in overcoming challenges and navigating complex organizational landscapes is essential. Continuous Learning : Commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in the financial services and technology sectors.

Proficiency in financial technology (fintech) solutions, including trading platforms, order management systems, and risk management tools.

Experience with custodian technology and distributed ledger systems, particularly as they relate to securities trading and settlement.

Familiarity with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning, and their potential applications in securities and trust solutions.

Domain Expertise : In-depth knowledge of securities regulations and compliance standards, including SEC regulations, FINRA rules, and fiduciary responsibilities in trust management.

Understanding of the full lifecycle of securities and trust products, from product ideation and development to distribution and client servicing.

Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools used in securities trading and trust administration, such as custody systems and investment management platforms.

Leadership and Strategic Skills : Strong leadership abilities, capable of leading a multidisciplinary team of product managers, developers, and subject matter experts to drive product innovation and market differentiation.

Proven track record of developing and launching successful securities and trust solutions that meet the needs of both institutional and retail clients.

Strategic thinker, able to anticipate market trends and regulatory changes, and develop product strategies that position the organization for long-term success.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, regulators, and internal stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will bring a unique combination of technology expertise and domain knowledge to the role, enabling them to drive innovation and growth in securities and trust solutions within the financial services industry.

Compensation Starting base salary : $141,830 - $263,408 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
