HDR is looking for a Senior Trenchless Construction Consultant to join our national Trenchless Services team. This role will report to the Trenchless Services Engineering Lead, with primary responsibilities supporting the execution of design and field services associated with trenchless services : engineering, design, and construction applications.

Overview

In the role of Senior Trenchless Construction Consultant, you will provide leadership in construction oversight, constructability reviews, field deliverables reviews, site visits, route assessments, and coordination of construction activities to support trenchless projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction oversight for trenchless installations.
• Conduct constructability reviews of trenchless engineering efforts.
• Review deliverables for trenchless construction activities.
• Visit project sites during preliminary engineering efforts.
• Perform route assessments for trenchless aspects of pipeline siting and routing.
• Coordinate and supervise trenchless construction oversight activities, including staffing and CM scopes.
• Interface with clients to support business development for trenchless services.
• Coordinate subcontractor activities, scheduling, and quality control.
• Prepare the Project Management Plan / Construction Management Plan.
• Develop procedures for construction contract administration and implement them with the project team.
• Perform construction management activities : development procurement schedules, subcontract scopes, subcontract terms and conditions reviews, constructability / value engineering reviews, cost / schedule management, and project construction performance presentations.
• Administer and manage construction activities and monitor progression of design relative to construction requirements.
• Conduct value engineering and constructability reviews.
• Coordinate local bidding efforts for quotes in the field.
• Assist in procurement of purchase orders and subcontract packages.
• Coordinate document management and review construction submittals including shop drawings and pay applications.
• Prepare, issue, and negotiate Change Orders; review baseline and updated construction schedules.
• Control project budget and schedule; manage quality assurance, inspection services, and health and safety compliance.
• Prepare and update project schedules, pay requests, and progress reports (daily, weekly, monthly).
• Coordinate local bidding efforts and project setup with temporary facilities.
• Perform other duties as needed.
