Project Manager
Southern Electrical Contractors (SEC) is looking for a Project Manager. The Project Manager will oversee and manage electrical installation projects from start to finish.
This role involves coordinating with clients, managing project resources, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and delivering projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities / Duties / Functions / Tasks :
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, including electrical scope, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to define project specifications and requirements.
- Ensure that electrical project designs meet client needs and industry standards.
- Create and manage project budgets, including labor, materials, and overhead costs.
- Oversee procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring cost-effective sourcing and timely delivery.
- Allocate resources effectively and adjust plans as necessary to address project changes or issues.
- Ensure all electrical installations comply with local codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Implement and monitor safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all project personnel.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Address and resolve issues promptly to minimize impact on project timelines and outcomes.
- Act as the primary point of contact between the company and clients, providing regular updates on project progress.
- Facilitate communication among project team members, ensuring clear understanding of tasks and responsibilities.
- Prepare and present project reports and performance metrics to senior management and clients.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Ensure all project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible for review.
Minimum Requirements :
U.S. Citizenship
o Valid Driver’s License with clear driving record
- Proven experience managing electrical construction projects, with a strong understanding of electrical systems and installations.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, execute, and close electrical projects effectively.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore) and other relevant tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Working Conditions :
This is a full-time position. Standard day and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7 : 00 a.m. through 5 : 00 p.m.
Evening and weekend hours are required as the job duties demand.
o Travel to SEC job sites and to SEC offices is required.
