The Project Manager is part of the Software Development Department in MWG-Corporate and reports to the Senior Project Manager.

The position an exempt, salaried role and is located at 500 Steed Road, Ridgeland, MS 39157.

GENERAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

The Project Manager will supervise and direct projects and workflows to meet corporate quality standards. To perform the job successfully, the employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Works closely with managers and developers to determine needs and timeline for the successful implementation of projects including monitoring of project goals, timelines, and activities.
  • Prepares, schedules, and sets up internal and external department meetings, conferences, and team ceremonies.
  • Communicates project goals and expectations with the project members or managers involved in the project.
  • Works closely with software development team members, Senior Project Manager and Vice President of Software Development as needed to develop detailed and PBI Acceptance Criteria, PBI's, tasks, checklists, etc.
  • Communicates to management regarding Sprint publish accomplishments and planned work objectives.
  • Vets, Onboards, Manages, and tracks work items submitted by all offices and all managers through the SMTR Application for processed work to a developer.
  • Manages project timelines and takes action to ensure project deadlines are met using the appropriate tools.
  • Assists in the development of the Business Analyst and Quality Assurance teamwork plans, risk assessments, project documentation and participates in routine updates.
  • Researches, reproduces, and helps to resolve carrier-reported and manager-reported issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Reviews quality assurance of products before implementing with internal or external customers.
  • Provides annual reviews and mentoring to team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Project Manager, Vice President of Software Development, and the Executive Vice President and Chief Administration Officer

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS :

  • College Degree Required, or 5+ years of corporate business knowledge preferred.
  • Prior project management experience or marketing experience required.
  • Must be proficient in computer skills and have strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Windows, Excel, and Word.

  • Must be able to perform in a very high paced environment and professionally handle interruptions.
  • Must have the ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to prioritize projects, work multiple projects simultaneously, and meet project deadlines and deliverables.
  • Must possess excellent problem-solving skills and have keen attention to details.
  • Must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills.
  • Must be able to handle stressful situations appropriately.
  • Must maintain confidentiality and privacy in every aspect of the job. Must have valid driver's license as this is a role that requires driving and travel.

  • Must be able to work as scheduled.

  • Must be able to bend, stretch, reach, and sit or stand at a desk during 85% of the workday.
  • Must be able to lift, stoop, and carry small equipment items and supplies, possibly weighing up to 20lbs.
