General Summary of Position

Unit Highlights

Nurses on 4NE care for complex Cardiacpatients. Patients on this unit are mostly post cardiac procedures. We workclosely with EP lab, Cath lab, and heart failure.

Many of our patients havemultiple co-morbidities in addition to cardiac issues. This allows our nursesto experience and learn a great deal.

4NE is unique in that 6 of our 30 bedsare classified as IMC. These patients have a higher need of care andrequire closer observation.

We also work closely with the appointed residentteam and hospitalist. Our nurses are dedicated to providing excellent nursingcare.

We enjoy the multiple opportunities to learn and care for a multitude ofintricate patients.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex.

You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.

Qualifications

  • ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
  • Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
  • Active DC RN License and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.
