Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Linthicum, MD is seeking a MATLAB software developer to support the RADAR Tasking Model (RTM) for our development, production, and operational Space RADAR Payload programs.

RTM is a suite of software designed to identify opportunities for requested payload tasking and to generate the required commanding inputs to command the Space Radar Payload.

Responsibilities include :

• Radar Tasking Model (RTM) team member
• SW Development and Maintenance of RTM software in Object Oriented MATLAB

This position is on-site in a classified program area in Linthicum / Baltimore, Maryland.

This position can be staffed at a Principal or Sr. Principal level based on the basic qualifications below.

Basic Qualifications :

• Principal Engineer : BS in STEM with 5 years relevant experience or 3 years with MS
• Sr Principal Engineer : BS in STEM with 8 years relevant experience or 6 years with MS
• Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain SCI approval / access.
• Radar tasking modeling knowledge and experience required
• Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming in MATLAB

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience with the Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
• Experience with Space Sensor Payloads
• Experience with RADAR performance modeling
• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Math

Salary Range : $102,400 - $153,600

Salary Range 2 : $127,000 - $190,600

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.

Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and / or personal business.
