ABOUT THE CLIENT

An established and reputable General Contractor is seeking a well-rounded Project Manager to join their team in Charleston. This role requires a strong leader capable of managing all aspects of commercial construction projects — from ground-up builds to complex renovations — with budgets typically ranging from $10M–$15M ,.

The ideal candidate will bring proven experience across multiple sectors (such as big box retail, courthouses, and municipal projects) and be ready to hit the ground running within a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Oversee all phases of construction from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and overall delivery.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and design specifications.
  • Lead client meetings, presentations, and progress reporting.
  • Review and approve submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
  • Maintain project documentation and ensure timely closeout.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

ABOUT THE CANDIDATE

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction.
  • Proven success managing ground-up and renovation projects between $10M–$15M .
  • Strong financial and scheduling acumen (budget tracking, cost control, forecasting).
  • Effective communicator and relationship builder with clients and subcontractors.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (Procore, MS Project, etc.).
  • Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Hands-on and detail-oriented.
  • Comfortable running projects independently.
  • Strong team leader and mentor.
  • Professional, dependable, and solution-focused.
