Robert Half is supporting the recruiting efforts of a company in the healthcare industry to find a VP of Accounting. This is a full time, permanent position in Downtown Denver.

  • Oversee Month-End Close : Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end financial closing processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
  • Financial Reporting : Prepare and review monthly financial reports and analyses, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal reporting standards.
  • Variance Analysis : Conduct detailed variance analysis between actuals and budgets, identifying and investigating discrepancies to provide actionable insights for management.
  • Audit Preparation : Coordinate and lead internal and external audit processes, ensuring that all financial records are accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Process Improvement : Develop and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of month-end close procedures.
  • Compliance and Controls : Maintain and enforce robust internal controls and financial policies to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and company policies.
  • Coordination with Departments : Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary data and resolve any financial discrepancies affecting the month-end close process.
  • Treasury Management : Oversee treasury functions, including cash flow management, bank account reconciliation, and short-term investment decisions.
  • Cash Forecasting : Develop and manage cash flow forecasts to ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs and strategic investments.
  • Supervisory : Oversee and mentor a team of 3-4 accountants

Reports to : CFO

  • Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or business
  • 10+ years experience in higher level accounting, strong GAAP and financial reporting
  • Strong ERP experience
  • Management experience
  • Experience with treasury management, cash flow and risk management
