The C-12 / King Air- UC-35 Cessna Citation Army Transport Aircraft Mechanic (FAA A&P). Performs organizational and intermediate level maintenance on C-12 aircraft.
Level of Aircraft Mechanic assigned under the Union CBA, based on seniority, is determined by the years of hands-on experience on the specific aircraft MDS being serviced, C-12 and / or UC-35 ).
A valid FAA A&P Certificate is Required.
Union CBA provides 3 levels of A&P experience based on years of experience on the assigned MDS aircraft C-12 / King Air and / or UC-35 Citation .
AM-1 - Two (2) Years A&P experience is required, with two (2) or more years of C-12 / UC-35 hands-on experience is preferred.
AM-2 - Five (5) years of C-12 / King Air / UC-35 Citation A&P mechanic experience is required.
AM-3 - Ten (10) years of A&P mechanic experience required, and Thirteen (13) years of C-12 / UC-35 experience required for an AM-3, under the Union CBA.
Is responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, repairing and modifying aircraft systems to ensure continued airworthiness.
These tasks are performed on avionics & electrical systems, engines, flight controls and airframe components.
Repairs are performed using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills.
Comply with aircraft records procedures outlined in DA PAM 738-751.
Ensure aircraft discrepancies are properly recorded in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and within the terms of the contract.
Know and understand the functions and requirements of computerized maintenance software.
Perform aircraft recovery missions as necessary.
Reads and interprets manufacturers’ maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
Minimum Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
A valid FAA A&P Certificate is Required.

Mechanic Tools are Required. Mechanics must provide their own Tools and Toolbox. (Tools must be shadowed and etched with PID).
Must be willing and able to work shifts and / or rotate for a multiple shift operation, per the Union CBA.
Two Shifts - First- 0600 to 1400, and Second shift is 1400 to 2200. Monday -Friday, 40 hours a week. Shifts are dependent on aircraft flight schedules and subject to change accordingly.
Security Clearance Requirements
Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Govt Secret Security Clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials and authorization.
US Citizenship is required to hold a US Govt Secret Clearance, and facility credentials and authorization to work at this facility.
Preferred Qualifications
Comply with the FAA regulations as applicable.
Possesses a valid FAA Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) license and shows compliance with FAR 65.83, recent experience requirements.
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining professional and non-confrontational attitude.
Ability to move freely about the interior and in the unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit.
Stand, squat, sit, walk, work with arms overhead for extended periods of time.
Pull, push, lift up to 50 lbs.
