Salary : $100,000 - $120,000 per year depending on experience Full Job DescriptionMcCormack Construction Co. is seeking an experienced Commercial Pre-Construction & Estimating Manager / Project Manager to oversee the pre-construction phases of commercial construction projects.

This role involves managing all aspects of the project from pre-planning through bid, tender, construction, and commissioning.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of project planning, estimating, contract administration, project cost control, and scheduling techniques.

You will leverage your construction expertise and communication skills to resolve design and construction issues and maintain excellent client relationships.

  • Assist the Department Manager in negotiating and awarding contracts.-Select key personnel and subcontractors for projects.
  • Monitor, control, and report on project progress, costs, and budget throughout the lifecycle of the project.-Maintain strong working relationships and communication between owners, contractors, and all stakeholders.
  • Resolve disputes, negotiate change orders, and communicate decisions to owners, subcontractors, and management personnel.
  • Enforce company safety standards and operating practices throughout all phases of the project.Preference will be given to candidates with the following qualifications : -Education : Graduate of a Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering Management (CEM), or Design degree program, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience : Minimum of five years of successful pre-construction / estimating and project management experience, preferably on multi-million-dollar commercial projects.
  • Desired Skills : Strong estimating and cost control abilities.Comprehensive understanding of various project delivery methods.

Proven project management experience.In-depth understanding of multi-discipline construction techniques.Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, and communication skills.

Strong planning, leadership, and team-building capabilities.Proficiency in computerized systems and project management software.
