In this role you will :

As an Automation QA Engineer 2 at Actabl, your mission is to protect Actabl’s brand by ensuring high-quality product releases.

You will be an integral part of our Quality Assurance team by working on manual testing and by developing the automation test scripts, executing them, and identifying bugs and failures in the solution with minimal guidance.

You will work closely with experienced engineers, manual test engineers, product managers, and engineering managers who you will be learning from, and contribute to maintain the expected quality standard of our software solutions for hospitality.

This role is ideal for passionate and driven individuals who are looking to build a solid foundation in software quality engineering in both manual and automation and grow in their careers.

Typical Functions :

• Design, write and execute manual test scenarios
• Design, write and execute automated scripts
• Be an expert in the product by collaborating with product managers and engineering leaders.
• Prioritise building manual and automation strategy for critical features
• Build a manual and automation framework from scratch as and when required
• Integrate the automated test scripts with an continuous integration pipeline
• Collaborate with other quality engineers by providing constructive feedback by performing code and test case reviews.
• Create a deep product knowledge and expertise across all the features, test them manually and then automate them
• Effective communication to explain the automated test strategy and ask clarifying questions
• Seek out assistance as well as conduct your own research when questions / roadblocks arise.
• Follow all of the process guidelines for Actabl automation and make suggestions for process improvements
• Prepare manual and automation training documents and procedures as well as train new hires in skills specific to their manual and automation tasks.

Requirements :

You are well versed with multiple automation frameworks and the technical knowledge needed for it - Cypress, Java, Selenium etc.
