Summary
The Clinical Office Assistant is responsible for providing direct or indirect care, under the supervision of a physician based on their scope of training to patients who present with urgent, emergent or potential health problems, as well as preventive care.
Services provided by the Clinical Office Assistant will include, but are not limited to, general patient care, assistance with procedures, documentation of activities and patient / family education.
The Clinical Office Assistant will provide care utilizing established principles and ethical standards as well as policies and procedures established by Deaconess.
Education and Experience
- Graduation certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program or graduation from an accredited nursing program required.
- Experience preferred but not required.
Certificates Current certification from one of the below :
- Certified Medical Assistant- AAMA
- Registered Medical Assistant- AMT
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant- NHA
- National Certified Medical Assistant- NCCT
- Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant- NAHP
- Registered Medical Assistant- AAH
- Certified Medical Assistant Clinical- AMCA
OR Licenses Current license from one of the below :
- Active LPN license, compact license preferred.
- Active RN license, compact license preferred.
CPR provider certification required.
