To keep up with our growth, we are hiring a Junior Quality Assurance Engineer to help us expand and scale our data analytics and telephony platforms.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum of 3 years of manual testing experience.
This position will work out of our office in Downtown Raleigh.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with software engineers, product manager, stakeholders and other
- QA team members to define testing requirements
- Review and understand software requirements, design documents, and specifications
- Create, execute and maintain test plans to ensure the software functions as designed based on acceptance criteria / requirements
- Identify and report software defects with steps to reproduce, expected vs. actual behavior, and severity
- Execute manual test cases in various environments and document test results and report defects in bug-tracking tools
- Perform various types of testing including functional, regression and performance to ensure software reliability and functionality
- Retest fixed defects and perform regression testing
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software
- Proficiency in testing web applications
- Be an active member of agile team who can work well independently and as part of a team
- Possess strong written and oral communication skills, along with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of team members
- Participate in retrospectives and continuously improve our testing processes and tools to enhance the quality of our software
- Ability to travel to Raleigh, NC : We fly our engineers to our Raleigh headquarters for a full week for on-site collaboration once per quarter, fostering team cohesion, collaboration, and alignment with company goals.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of software quality assurance experience
- Excellent technical writing skills
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies and processes
Experience with the following :
- Kanban / Waterfall methodologies and Jira project management and reporting
- Data science
- Insomnia or Postman for API testing (or similar technologies)
- Technical background
- Experience with any automated testing tools is an advantage
- Working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Testing web applications
- Experience with cross-platform or cross-browser testing
- Working with SQL
