A law firm in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Mid-Level Commercial and Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in commercial litigation, with a strong background in managing cases, drafting pleadings, and conducting research for contested motions.

Experience or a demonstrated interest in complex litigation areas such as soft IP (e.g., trademark, copyright, trade secret), unfair competition, or consumer class actions is preferred.

Excellent writing and oral advocacy skills are required. Clerkship and court experience are a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Manage and handle commercial and intellectual property litigation cases from inception through resolution.
• Draft and research pleadings and contested motions, including motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment, preliminary injunctions, and class certification briefs.
• Take depositions and prepare for trial.
• Propound and respond to written discovery.
• Argue motions and represent clients in court.
• Provide strategic legal advice and case management.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients on complex litigation matters.
• Stay current on legal trends and developments in commercial and intellectual property law.

Requirements :

• 4+ years of experience in commercial and intellectual property litigation.
• Law firm experience preferred, with a proven track record of managing cases and handling complex litigation matters.
• Experience or demonstrated interest in complex litigation areas such as soft IP, unfair competition, or consumer class actions.
• Excellent writing and oral advocacy skills.
• Clerkship and court experience are advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Education :

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications :

Admission to the State Bar of California.

Skills :

• Expertise in managing and litigating commercial and intellectual property cases.
• Proficiency in drafting legal documents and research for complex motions.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle depositions, written discovery, and trial preparation.
