How you’ll contribute :
As a Manager, Territory Management and Scheduling, you’ll be responsible for effectively leading a team of Scheduling & Territory Management Coordinators within the distribution (sales) organization and contributing towards an increase in productivity across the team and business.

Additionally, this leader is expected to motivate teams to deliver results while creating a collaborative work environment that embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion and rewards high performance.

In this role, you’ll get to :
- Oversee the day-to-day activities of direct reports and ensure full adoption of processes.
- Collaborate with distribution and marketing leaders to develop strategies that will help increase quality appointments.
- Participate in Learning & Development training for new external wholesalers. Providing an overview of scheduling process and onboarding with assigned scheduling partner.
- Analyze and manage direct reports metrics to ensure goals are met and identify meaningful trends.
- Full people management responsibilities include hiring, effective performance management and talent development for a team of approximately 10 employees.
- Strategically identify talent through participation in the interview and hiring process.
- Train and develop team members in collaboration with director and team leaders.
- Assign projects and responsibilities to team members based on strengths and development opportunities, then track and hold accountable to results.
- Facilitate bi-weekly 1 : 1 meeting with direct reports to review activity, share ideas, and provide coaching and feedback.
- Participate in quarterly reviews with internal and external wholesaling partners and respective divisional sales manager to review results, identify opportunities, and align on the next quarter’s strategy.
- Develop and refine processes to meet the changing needs of the external wholesalers.
- Demonstrate the BHF leadership and professional competencies and emulate the Brighthouse values and culture.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
We’re looking for people who have :
- Experience in coaching and mentoring team members in a performance driven environment.
- A minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience within the financial services industry preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications : Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience with Salesforce and mapping applications preferred.
- Highly effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- Competence with analyzing data to identify trends that will drive the business forward.
- Comfort with providing constructive feedback and having direct conversations designed to foster positive outcomes.
- Innate ability to promote a positive environment that encourages collaboration among the team and with business partners.
- Undergraduate degree preferred.
