AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Engineer to join our Kansas City Water Resources team. This is an entry-level position and is based out of Overland Park, KS .

RESPONSIBILITIES

Participates in conducting engineering investigations and planning work by completing well-defined tasks. These tasks may include collection and analysis of data using established procedures, performance of routine calculations, and participation in evaluating the feasibility of alternate solutions.

Prepares assigned sections of reports working under the close review of an experienced professional.

Prepares material for reports and permit applications, gathering information, writing rough outline, and / or preparing work progression documents and graphic presentations.

Performs engineering calculations

Develops hydrologic and hydraulic models using industry-standard programs such as HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS.

Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE : 0-2 Years of professional experience in a related technical field

EDUCATION : Completion of Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college / university

SPECIAL SKILLS :

Basic computer skills required to enter data into spreadsheets or databases.

Math skills to perform simple calculations; willingness to learn.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Experience with ArcGIS Pro (preferred).

Proficient interpersonal and communications skills.

Capability to develop technical writings and reports.

PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS : E.I. or E.I.T. (preferred)
