Credit Analyst I
Job Summary :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Credit Analyst to join one of our clients in Garden Grove.
Key Responsibilities :
Conduct comprehensive credit investigations and analyze credit data related to loan applications.
Verify and update credit information as requested by clients to support the mortgage underwriting process.
Provide operational support to the production team throughout the credit report supplement process.
Resolve customer problems and inquiries via telephone.
Handle inbound consumer and client calls efficiently and professionally.
Perform word processing tasks, including general correspondence and data entry.
Interface with customers regarding inquiries, complaints, and providing exceptional customer service.
Conduct effective internet research for documentation to assist with verification requests.
Analyze credit files to identify the causes of missing data and changes to credit information.
Qualifications :
Proven experience as a Credit Analyst or in a similar role.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Knowledge of credit reporting and analysis techniques.
Can type 30 WPM
Shift Availability :
Must be available to work any of the following shifts :
7 : 00 AM 3 : 30 PM
8 : 30 AM 4 : 00 PM
9 : 30 AM 6 : 00 PM
11 : 00 AM 8 : 00 PM
Required Skills / Experience :
Previous experience in credit analysis or related field
Strong background in call center environments, with excellent customer service skills
Desired Skills (Preferred) :
Experience in the mortgage industry or familiarity with mortgage processes is a plus
Education Requirements :
High school diploma or GED required
Bachelor's degree preferred, but not mandatory
