About The Position

Basic Life Support or other certifications by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Must-Have : Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology Job Description : - Prepare procedure room and patient for all studies.
Ensure all equipment is disinfected after each patient, following cleaning policies and protocols. Dispose of and replace dirty linen after every patient.
Monitor patient flow for efficient daily operations.- Educate patients regarding ordered procedures and answer any related questions.
Obtain patient history and written consent for exams. Verify patient information and check for appropriate ICD-10 codes.
Use appropriate patient safety screening / consent forms to ensure all safety precautions are addressed before the procedure.
Perform procedures according to established protocols. Position patients and select the appropriate equipment necessary for the procedure, considering the age and physical capabilities of the patient.
Monitor patients during procedures and notify the Radiologist of any reactions or problems. Assist the radiologists when necessary, making every effort to minimize patient discomfort.
Demonstrate competency on all general diagnostic imaging equipment. Ensure quality images for all completed procedures before releasing the patient by reviewing images or sending images to the PACS System, depending on the type of procedure.
Maintain imaging QA s below 2% per month.- Run a pending work report daily to ensure all exams have been properly charged.
Track PACS and HMR errors closely and report them on PI reports following the QA policy. Keep individual error rates below 2%.
Maintain adequate supplies by stocking the room at the beginning of each shift and throughout the day to ensure readiness for required procedures.
Monitor supply needs and par levels, and report items that fall below par level to the designated person.- Perform all other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities.
