About The Position
Job Title : Surgical Technician Job Specialty : Operating Room Technician Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day - 5x8 - 7 : 00 am - 3 : 30 pm Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : Minimum 1 year License : Not required for submission Certifications : BLS, UAP Must-Have : General, OBGYN, Orthopedics Job Description : Perform duties in the operating room with no clinical involvement.
- Support medical staff during surgeries in two operating suites, with an average of 9 cases per day.- Work with both adult and pediatric patients on common cases related to General, OBGYN, and Orthopedics.
- Collaborate effectively with the charge nurse, who is present on each shift.- Utilize Meditech for electronic medical records.
- Commit to 8-hour shifts, with scheduling flexibility for self-scheduling or block scheduling.- Be available for on-call duties during weekends and holidays as required.
- Complete a 5-shift department-specific orientation.- Exhibit a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Adhere to the requirement for upfront time-off requests, with no additional requests approved post-submission. Attributes for success include cooperation, a positive attitude, and adaptability in a fast-paced setting.
