About the Role :
As a Gummy Line Operator , you will be responsible for the full operation of the gummy production line, from raw materials to the final gummy product.
You will measure, weigh, and mix ingredients, monitor the cooking process, and ensure that all product quality standards are met.
Attention to detail and a strong focus on safety are critical for success in this role.
Essential Job Functions :
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot the gummy line kettle, depositor, and cooling tunnel.
- Measure raw materials according to Manufacturing Batch Records (MBR).
- Monitor the cooking process, emphasizing pH readings and brix measurements.
- Spread gummies on drying trays and visually inspect for quality.
- Operate and maintain tray washing equipment and ensure the cleanliness of the production room.
- Perform in-process measurements and calculations, including yield percentages.
- Ensure complete and accurate documentation of batch records, labeling, logbooks, and raw materials.
- Follow cGMPs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and company safety policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Stand for up to 90% of the shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
Work Experience Requirements :
- Ability to follow written instructions, including Manufacturing Batch Records, safety policies, and quality requirements.
- Quality-conscious with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience in food manufacturing, nutraceutical manufacturing, or mechanical aptitude.
- Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to provide process verification for team members.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
Education Requirements :
High School Diploma or Certificate, or 6 months to 1 year of related experience / training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
