Caterpillar Corner Childcare Center, opening September 7th, 2024, is a brand new early learning environment dedicated to fostering the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth of young children in Flint, MI.

Are you a passionate leader with a vision for creating an exceptional early childhood learning experience? As our Program Director, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping Caterpillar Corner's culture and ensuring the success of our brand-new center.
What You'll Do :
Lead the overall operation, ensuring a high-quality, nurturing, educational, and safe environment for our children.
Cultivate a positive and collaborative work environment for all teachers, volunteers, and staff.
Implement our curriculum and ensure compliance with all state licensing regulations (CACFP, Early Head Start, Head Start, GSRP, etc.)
Oversee program management and ensure adherence to Caterpillar Corner's vision, mission, philosophy, and core values.
Manage staff development, including professional development days, training initiatives, and FIP meetings.
Conduct and manage inspections, and collaborate with the owner on the licensing renewal process.
Foster open communication and positive relationships with children, families, partners, and team members.
Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion within the center.
Who You Are :
A passionate and experienced leader with a minimum of one year of Assistant Director experience.
Hold at least an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a CDA credential.
Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Thrive in a collaborative environment and demonstrate the ability to lead and motivate a team of up to 20 people.
Embrace a growth mindset and welcome constructive feedback.
Committed to creating a positive and inclusive environment for all.
A strong understanding of early childhood education best practices and state licensing regulations is a plus.
