Purpose

The Development Associate (Frontline Support) will assist the School of Law Development Office with staff support needs and daily administrative responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Assist in the coordination of activities for various gift officers and other staff members as assigned. Provide support that allows for efficient and effective use of staff members’ time.

Serve as a resource of information for assigned gift officers.

Assist with portfolio management and strategy execution for assigned gift officers.

Assist with goal setting, proposal preparation, strategy development, and stewardship as required for donors.

Assist with maintaining appropriate electronic documentation on a timely basis, including engagement activities, proposal tracking, contact reports, donor strategies, and forecasting.

Assist with recording timely reports, letters, proposals, or gift agreements following a donor contact.

Assist with prospect and donor research, individualized donor stewardship projects, and various forms of donor outreach as needed.

Assist with planning and execution of various events, such as School of Law alumni events, workshops, webinars, and campus visits.

Coordinate internal and external meetings, plan travel, and process reimbursements in a timely manner.

Work collaboratively, proactively, and in a professional, service-oriented manner with all university development staff to further the development goals of the School of Law.

Other related functions and duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree. One year of experience assisting with fundraising programs and / or performing complex administrative functions.

Highly effective communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal). Project management skills. Capable of working independently and under pressure, while also engaging in collaboration between teams.

Excellence in problem-analyzing, problem-solving, and customer service. Demonstrated high attention to details and accountability.

Ability to use discretion and maintain integrity and professionalism. High degree of proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and Zoom.

Demonstrated excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

More than the required administrative and / or fundraising experience. Experience with VIP database and DEFINE. Working knowledge of UT Austin's policies and procedures.

Salary

$50,000 + depending on qualifications

Working Conditions

May work around standard office conditions. Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation, use of manual dexterity. Lift and move standard office files and supplies.

Wear appropriate office attire. Accept supervision and feedback. Work hours may include occasional evenings, weekends, and some holidays during peak periods to meet deadlines, attend events, or accommodate travel.

On-site work is the normal expectation for this position in the first six months, but remote work up could be considered based on the successful completion of that probationary period.
